On Saturday, October 18th, Stacey and Rob celebrated their wedding in the quaint town of Summerville where they live. The Summer House provided the ideal setting for a wedding, even when light rain meant a change of venue from a garden wedding to an indoor one.
Charmaine, the wedding director at the Summer House, made sure the transition went smoothly as she oversaw the transformation of the dining and dance area into the ceremony site. Charmaine is a photographer’s best friend, making sure, not only, that the room looked just right, but also that it accommodated the need to get great ceremony pictures of the bride and groom.
When I arrived, Stacey’s mom and family members were creating a charming backdrop of white flowers accented with greenery over an arbor that would frame the couple during the ceremony.
I expected to find Stacey fretting about the rain but she was so wonderfully serene, having originally envisioned the wedding inside this circa 1890 three-story home.
Stacey is a vet, by the way, which I think is awesomely cool. Wish I were in town so I could take my new puppy Sparky to her for check-ups.
As is usually the case with me, some of my most favorite photos are the girls getting ready beforehand.
Even the guys provided some nice moments as they prepared for the big day.
I had to laugh at this sight I came upon:
And saving the best for last:
Congratulations Stacey and Rob!
